Item 220 Standard Rescue Sheet
Short Description
A bed length nylon sheet used for fast evacuation of bed bound patients by two nurses. Permanently left on the bed under the mattress and allows normal bed making. Two straps with buckles secure the patient on the mattress and a loop at either end are used to tow the patient to safety. Elastic straps hook over each corner of mattress to help secure rescue sheet to mattress.

To use:
. The sheet is positioned under the mattress and attached to the mattress by four elastic straps which come up and cross over the four corners.
. The two cross straps (to hold the person on the mattress) are folded in the pockets provided and are easily accessible in an emergency.
. A loop strap is provided at each end of the sheet for towing.
Standard material is strong nylon, which is easy to pull on lino but hard to use on carpet. (Item 220)
Carpet Rescue Sheet (Item 220CS) - is placed under the existing rescue sheet, and will slide easily on carpet.
