Short Description
A portable wheelchair stair climber designed to carry persons in standard manual wheelchairs up and down stairs.

3050 mm.
. Uses 2 x 6 v dry cell batteries - rechargeable.
. Stairway clearance dimensions on turnback stairways depends on stair width.
. The clearance allows stairmate to be manoeuvred around the stairway.
. Not suitable for use on spiral stairs.


Models
Stairmatic-
This model is designed for use with someone who can easily transfer into the built-in seat of the climber. The chair has lift-up armrests and footrest to aid transfers. It is attendant operated and will only function when in the correct operating position - tilted backwards towards the attendant at approximately 60 degrees.

Braking System: two mechanical and independent brakes.
Transport : Dismantles into two parts - largest piece is 1 metre long.
Customisation available.
Load capacity: 115 kgs
Weight: 52kgs


Method Of Use
. The base of the unit is positioned between the wheels of the wheelchair.
. Wheelchair is locked into position.
. Attendant pushes operating switch and walks backwards up stairs guiding unit.
. Stairmate climbs stair under own power.
