Short Description
This lift may be used in homes and commercial premises for disabled access to a maximum height of 12 metres or 5 levels. It is a multi-speed, fully automatic lift with speed changing and car scheduling controlled by a programmable controller and has a travel speed of 300mm/sec.

Price Guide
Refer to supplier details for pricing.

More Details
The following are normally provided by the client and/or builder:
* The lift shaft complete with doors and closers
* The lift control room complete with power supply and phone extension
* Council and Work Cover Authority fees, cranage installing lift and shaft scaffolding.

CONTROLS :
The lift control including high and low speed travel changes, automatic levelling at floors and floor call logic, are all controlled by a Programmed Logic Controller.

POWER :
The lift power unit uses an oil submerged three phase motor and screw drive pump, providing a low noise level and a minimum amount of maintenance. A single stage cylinder operating at comparatively low
pressures ensures long life and minimum maintenance.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS :
The lift requires a small plant room, a pit depth of 400mm and shaft height above the top floor level of 3000mm. The internal dimension of the shaft is 1400mm by 1650mm. The plant room must have a common wall with the lift shaft with a hinged window to the shaft. A minimum ceiling height of 2000mm is required.

FEATURES :
* A shallow pit depth of only 400mm.
* A shaft ceiling height only 3000mm above the upper floor level.
* Structurally rigid single piece guide channels require fixing at only 3000mm centres and allow installation in existing homes, even with timber floors. Normally 110mm brickwork in the shaft enclosure is all that is required.
* The use of hinged shaft doors and multifold car doors, allows a compact sized lift to readily accept a wheelchair.
* The use of hinged lift shaft doors with internally mounted Dorma closers, allows a continuity of finishes throughout the home and makes the lift installation as discrete as possible.

SAFETY :
Homelift provides the safety locking for shaft doors, via locks in a steel channel which mounts in the door frame above the door.

FINISH :
The standard lift car is internally lined with European Oak veneer and with a Pella multi-fold door also in European Oak veneer. Carpeting is normally arranged by the client. Alternative timber finishes available are
Mohogany or Teak or a range of Laminates.

ADVANTAGES AND LIMITATIONS :
+ Can be installed in either existing or new homes.
+ Maximum height of 12 metres and 5 levels.

Options
The lift shaft arrangement offers 4 alternative door positions.

Installation
In the ACT, the Scaffolding and Lifts Regulation 1950 requires the installer of the lift (the Lift Company) to submit a 'Notice of Intention to Erect or Alter a Lift'. This applies to all lifts including service lifts and disabled access lifts. All lifts that are installed in the ACT need to comply with the current Lift Code of Australia.

Once the lift is erected, the lift company will contact WorkCover to arrange a "pre-commissioning inspection and test " on the lift (both new and upgraded). WorkCover charges an initiation fee of $39.10 plus $26.65 per hour for this service. (This fee is revised regularly). There is no requirement for the owner to arrange an annual inspection. For more information, contact ACT WorkCover on 6205 0200.
