Short Description
A child hip seat that takes the weight of a child from 6 months to 3 years. It helps to prevent back pain in the person carrying the child, as the spine can remain straight, with the child nestling into the hip and chest of the wearer and the load of the child is spread across the pelvis. When the seat is wrapped firmly around the carer, it helps to support the back.

Made from "Dupont Cordura" fabric, which is washable.
To wash, the seat is removed and the sling can then be placed in the washing machine.
Colours: black, navy blue, olive green, burgundy red (grey is also available but not yet in Australia).
The Hip Seat fits all sizes and features a safety strap, removable, lightweight waterproof seat and secure inner pockets.
The RSI and Overuse Injury Association Ph: 6286 8073 have a hippychick that they will loan out to parents for several weeks.
Options
An extension can be added to the Hippychick to increase the waist size by 250mm.
Method Of Use
Breathe in. Wrap the belt tight around the waist with the seat above the right hip.
Apply velcro. Secure outer safety strap. Swivel round to either hip.
Place child on seat with legs astride it facing in, or with bottom firmly on seat, if facing out.
The snugger the fit, the better the support for the back.
