  6. My elderly father can still drive, but struggles to get in and out of the car. I am worried that this difficulty may cause a fall. Can you suggest anything that may help? ( Car Transfer Aids)
    Answer: Yes, there are various devices that assist with transferring in and out of the car. There are portable handles that either insert into the u-shaped latch on the door opening or attach to the grab handle inside the door opening that will support the weight of the person as they enter or leave the car. There are also portable swivel pads/cushions that consist of two discs that rotate 360° on each other and assist in swinging the legs into and out of the car. This means you can sit down safely as you would into a normal chair and let the discs do the work.

  8. I have emphysema and lymphedema and am unable to get up from sitting unassisted and my legs need to be elevated due to oedema and for ease of breathing my torso must remain upright be upright to approx. 80 degrees. Is there a lounge chair that will accommodate him? (Powered Lift Chair)
