There is exciting news about ILC Victoria's decision in adopting the Products Database used by all other ILCs.

The software customisation project has commenced. When Victoria's database is converted to the new structures, the ease of data sharing and cost sharing amongst ILCs will provide most welcoming benefits to all stakeholders.

Information in the product database on this website are updated regularly by Independent Living Centre at ACT, NSW, QLD, VIC, SA, TAS and WA.

If you require advice or assistance in choosing relevant products for your needs, please call our national ILC Infoline number 1300 885 886. You will be connected to your local state/territory ILC for the cost of a local phone call. ** NT callers are automatically directed to ILC at SA.

** ILC Victoria's Products Database is under reconstruction. Data displayed may be out of date. For any queries please contact ILC VIC on (03) 9362 6111.

Welcome to the national Independent Living Centres Australia Website

The Independent Living Centres Australia (ILCA) is a collective organisation with members in each Australian states and the ACT.

The ILCA’s role is to advance a federal agenda on issues and needs at a national level. The ILCA also provides information and advice to government and policymakers and raises awareness of the role assistive technology plays in maintaining health and wellbeing in the Australian community.

ILCA member organisations

Use the links on the left to find your local service. The ILCA’s member organisations are leading providers of information and advice on an extensive range of assistive technology that can help individuals improve their quality of life and remain independent.

Each state organisation assists a wide range of people from all walks of life. Clients include older people who wish to remain independent in their homes for as long as possible, as well as children and adults with a disability. Throughout Australia, demand for assistive technology is growing as a result of increasing community interest in healthy ageing and recognition of universal rights to independence and access.

Assistive technology helps people to maximise their independence and their ability to manage everyday tasks whether in the home, workplace, or out in the community.
